2 Month Extension to File 2013 Tax Return Expires June 16

Posted on June 04, 2014

If you are a U.S. Citizen or resident alien living overseas or serving in the military outside of the United States and you qualified for an automatic two-month filing extension, the IRS would like to remind you those individuals that the due date for filing their federal Form 1040 tax return for 2013 is June 16, 2014.

Individuals who cannot meet the June 16, 2014, deadline can file for an automatic extension of time to file their tax return for 2013 to October 15, 2014.

However, the automatic extension is an extension of time to file the tax return, not an extension of the time to pay.

Do you have unfiled tax returns due to the IRS?
