IRS Trouble Solvers Warns of Upcoming Tax Deadline

If you filed an extension of time to file your federal Form 1040 tax return for 2016, the extended deadline to file your tax return for 2016 with the IRS is October 16, 2017.

“If you have not yet filed your federal tax return for 2016, the window for doing so is about to close” said Patrick T. Sheehan, the principal and owner of IRS Trouble Solvers. “The time to take action is now.”

If you do not timely file your tax return for 2016 extension, the IRS can assess penalties and interest against you, which can lead to you owing even more money.
