Gary Indiana tax return preparation firm sued!

On March 29, 2012, the IRS through the Department of Justice sued a Gary Indiana tax return preparation firm and its owner seeking to bar the preparation of tax returns for others. The firm allegedly guarantees the largest refunds and purportedly did so by fabricating business expenses, claiming improper tax credits and claiming fake dependents. Former tax return preparers for this firm have already pled guilty to tax crimes related to the preparation of bogus tax returns. Always choose a reputable and qualified tax return preparer, preferably a CPA. Stay away from firms that guarantee a refund or that take a percentage of your refund.
