The popular reality TV show Real Housewives of New Jersey, may be getting more drama than they bargained for. Star of the series Teresa Giudice and her husband have been indicted on an array of charges including 39 counts of conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, bank fraud, making false statements on loan applications as well as bankruptcy fraud.
In addition to the above listed charges handed down by a federal grand jury, Teresa’s husband Giuseppe is also facing charges for failing to file tax returns from 2004 through 2008. They have plead not guilty to all charges and if found guilty, could face up to 20 years in prison and $250,000 in fines for conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, up to 30 years in prison and a $1 million fine for bank fraud and loan application fraud. For each count of bankruptcy fraud, the maximum penalty is 5 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. Giuseppe faces up to one year in prison and $100,000 fine for failing to file a tax return.
