Some letters are easier to write than others. This one is a delight…

As you may recall, we met some six months ago following my near-death run-in with the IRS regarding a complicated and somewhat embarrassing mess that I had made with my personal tax sitution. You had come highly recommended by my C.P.A. whom I’ve known for 20+ years, but I wasn’t quite sure what to expect — until we began our initial encounter.

Although somewhat intimidated by your “groundrules for engagement,” I elected to do exactly what you instructed. And I am forever in your debt for having done so. You did everything that you promised you would do in that initial and most memorable encounter: you delivered a successful outcome in blistering speed, and you provided exceptional professional services, expert counsel and a proven process that has exceeded my wildest expectations. A heartfelt, but overdue “Thank you!”

But it doesn’t end there. I feel just as compelled to applaud the relentless work of your entire team who has acted on my behalf: Julie, and the true unsung hero: Rob Rush, J.D. Behind every great leader is a hard-working and talented team. I would be remiss to not extend my gratitude to each and every one of them for the role that they played in keeping me from wearing a striped suit.

Truth be known, I’m frohboese (German: “happy-sad”) that circumstances led to our meeting. Without reservation, I will continue to sing your praises, but do hope that the next time we meet it’s over a cup of coffee, and not a new issue with the IRS!
