The Back Story:

Individual from Cook County, Illinois

The taxpayer retained our firm in early August of 2013 to address his federal Form 1040 liability stemming from an additional tax assessment. The taxpayer and his accountant believed that the IRS incorrectly assessed the additional tax. We filed a request for an audit reconsideration with the IRS on behalf of our taxpayer and negotiated the reduction of the total liability due including the abatement of penalties, resulting in a savings of over $13,000.00. The taxpayer paid the remaining liability in full and now is free from his IRS problems.
